THE ONLY ICELANDIC PRE-RIGOR SALMON ON THE WORLD MARKET

Oddi started working with salmon in the autumn of 2020 and the production has increased steadily since. The uniqueness of our salmon is the closeness to the harvesting plant that makes it possible to produce Pre-rigor fillets. Pre-rigor fillets are fresher and have better texture and colour than post-rigor fillets.

FRESHNESS

The salmon that Oddi processes is filleted only a few hours after being slaughtered. After slaughter the salmon is super chilled, which both increases its freshness and prolongs its shelf life. The salmon is non-GMO and is ASC certified throughout the production chain. No antibiotics are used in the production and the salmon is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.

HIGH TECHNOLOGY

Oddi has the best possible technology for this production stage and can therefore produce a consistent high quality product. We use a salmon filleting machine MS2730 from Marel and our machine is the only such machine

PRODUCTS

Oddi produces salmon fillets that can be obtained in four different stages of trimming, from minimum trim (A) up to maximum trim (D).
